Build A Bear

Yesterday, Allan and I spent the day together. I had an appointment scheduled for his 3 yr mile stone pics. While we were at the mall, we made our second attempt to Build A Bear. I had taken him a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday. It was a little busy and Allan was afraid of the crowd. This time he was the only one in the store.

He chose a puppy,

bathed it and

registered his new stuffed animal.

Matthew's 3rd Birthday

Jennifer made the Mickey Mouse pinata in the background.
She also made the Mickey Mouse cake.
My nephew turned three on the 24th. He's 20 days younger than Allan. Matthew is the ONLY child of my brother, Theo, and sister-in-law, Jennifer. Born at 28 gestational weeks and weighing no more than two lbs., Matthew was in the neonatal intensive care unit for the first couple months of his life. He even had to have heart surgery. Christmas Eve of 2005, he was finally released to come home. He truly is a miracle!
Now, fast forward three years...............................the boy is thankfully totally normal and fearless. He's WILD!!!! I tell Jennifer all the time he needs meds.

Shop-a-thon

Amber and I went shopping yesterday at Grapevine Mills. We arrived at 9:55 A.M., so we had to wait 5 minutes before the mall opened . We left at 4:45........only cause Scott called. We had both lost track of time. We haven't done that since the day after Thanksgiving several years ago. This time minus the crowds. I had a great time and I hope we don't have to wait so long to do it again.

Tagged AGAIN!

Okay, here's what you do.....read the following questions, then copy and paste them into your blog and answer them and then tag 3 people.

1. If you could go back in time and relive one particular time in your life, when would it be?
The first time I met Scott.

2. If you could drive any car out there, what car would you drive?
A paid off car! I don't have a fantasy car........just needs to have ac/heat, and a working radio.

3. If you could drive an SUV, what kind would you drive?
Again, vehicles aren't a big deal to me. I mean I use to drive a POS Ford Focus, but I WILL NOT drive a mini-van (unless it's free). I currently have a Eddie Bauer Expedition parked in my driveway cause it's a gas guzzler!

4. What is your greatest pet peeve of all time?
I think by now you guys know, it's the right on red thing.

5. What room in your house stays clean most of the time?
My living room.

6. What room stays messed up most of the time?
My kids room!

7. Can you get both cars in your garage?
Just Scott's motorcycle.

8. Do you make your bed every day?
Scott does. We have a code. If I make it up, there is no chance he's getting lucky. I know, TMI.

9. When you come home from a long day or you have to change clothes, do you hang things up or do you make a pile that last for days and days?
Pile, in my bathroom.

10. How many days of the week do you cook an evening meal?
Four or five. Right now, I'm trying to replicate childhood dishes my Mom made. Of course, they don't compare to my Mom's cooking.

11. What's your favorite meal?
Benihana's Spashin' Meadow

12. If you could go anywhere on vacation and spend a week, where would you go?
A week? Hummmm........Hawaii. Only cause I've never been.

13. What's your favorite television show of all time
That's easy.......FRIENDS!!! I was so sad when it ended.

14. What was your favorite children's show growing up?
It definitely wasn't Transformers, it was The Jetsons.

15. What was your favorite toy as a child?
Don't recall. I'll have to ask my Mom.

16. What was your favorite book as a child?
As a teen, Of Mice & Men

17. What was the first car that you drove?
A baby blue Dodge Colt that wouldn't go faster than 55 mph and it leaked oil. Yeah, it so caught on fire on the mix master.

18. What color was your first bike?
Don't remember, but I do recall having a banana boat

19. Did you ever do anything really bad growing up?
Nope! I'm proud to say I was a "goody goody"!

20. Did you ever steal anything growing up?
Yeah, NO!

Okay, so tag 3 friends and ready, set, go! Gina, Jennifer & Libby (Come on Libby, be a sport & start blogging!) you have been tagged!!! Sorry girls!

Mommy & Me

My Mommy surprised me with a trip to da Sate Fair. I went last year with my siblings, but this year, it was all about ME!!!Me and my Mommy in front of Big Tex.

I was fascinated with da train that went around Big Tex. Mean ole security guy told me to get down from da rails though.

I went to visit my Great Uncle Larry at his buttered corn stand and I wouldn't speak to him because I was being shy. He gave a bag of fudge though. YUMMY!!

It was lunch time and I wanted da Fair's renowned famous Fletcher's corn dog. Actually, I don't like the corn breading, so really, my Mommy paid $4. bucks for da wiener.

I fed da faux hens but my Mommy had to put da plastic egg in my basket. I was afraid da hens were going to peck at me.

That's me learning how to milk a cow.

Yep, my Mommy let me play with da sand.

Mommy bought me this cool tractor.

I had to take a moment to play with my new toy.

Me & my Mommy!

Wow! Giraffes are REAL & really ARE that tall!

I was intrigued by da baby goats.

Llamas! Don't think I'm going to get near them or feed them!

Zebras! Not feeding him either!

I'm running from you guys! You scare me!!

I had to go back to da baby goat. Originally, I put da feed on da shovel and dumped it in their pen when they weren't watching and said, "Come eat, NOW!" Then my Mommy, showed me how the process worked. I only fed the babies though.

My cousin met up with me and my Mommy and she fed da big guys.

It was time to leave that fun place after four hours and I wasn't ready to!

My mom got a smile outta me cause I agreed to say "cheese," if she took me by da water fountains.

On da way home, I was so tired I fell asleep after taking off only one sock and one shoe. Man, I was worn out, but it was a BLAST!!!

Welome Home Cpt. Amber!

My cousin, Amber, is home visiting for a couple of weeks before she moves to S. Carolina. I am happy to report she just recently finished her second tour in Iraq and my family and I are thankful she has returned home safely. When she left California for her tour, she left as a 1st Lieutenant and while she was in Iraq she was promoted to a Captain. You go girl!!!

Yesterday, my Aunt Olivia, Amber & I met for lunch at our usual hang out, El Fenix downtown. My Mom couldn't make it because she didn't want to drive in the monsoon. I'm glad I had the opportunity to visit with them both. We chatted up a storm.........girl talk.

He does have it in him!

Report cards came out last week and Ricky made the A & B Honor Roll his first six weeks as a 6th grader! I knew he could do it and I'm so proud of him!!! As his reward, I agreed he could go to his Dad's house this coming weekend. He has plans to go to the Palmer Homecoming on Friday night, a rodeo on Saturday and the State Fair on Sunday. Way to go!!!

The Pumpkin Patch

I took Allan to a Pumpkin Patch this morning. He threw a fit because he didn't want to wear these overalls. I thought they would be perfect for the outing. This will probably be his first and last time to wear them.

Checking out the goods.

This is the reason I wanted him to wear the overalls. I love this pic!

Allan: I like this one.

Cheeeeezzzzzzzze!

Focusing on the other kids.

So serious!

And the winner is:

He said the others were too heavy.
