Happy Birthday Ricky!

Ricky turned 12 today! We celebrated yesterday by going to the place of his choice, Dave and Busters. An extra bonus was having the day off from school because of the weather.
One of three games Allan can play. He was annoyed Elena wouldn't leave him in peace and allow him to play alone. She wanted to maximize her tickets.......not a concern of Allan's

Having to problem solve.

The pros!

My gang!

Check out those gourmet cupcakes (and Allan's excitement). They were yummy too! And, yes I made them.

Ricky blocking Allan from trying to make a wish on his behalf. Allan had been looking forward to blowing out the candle all day. He wanted to know when he could have his birthday again.

Reading his b-day card from Mama and Papa Ocanas and happy to receive cash, since he is in Elena's club, broke. He received a card in the mail from his bonus grandparents today as well.

Notice the happiness of FINALLY receiving the gift he has wanted since before Christmas, an Ipod Nano.

I love you Ricky!
(Elena was jealous because I took a pic with Ricky on his b-day and I didn't take one with her on her b-day. I was the photographer on her b-day. Allan didn't like the fact I was hugging Ricky. He said, "I your baby!" Brandon didn't say anything cause he didn't witness it. I love that I am so loved!)

It's been a year!

Yesterday, marked my one year blogging anniversary. It's been a great way to keep my family and friends posted with my life. Also, it's a awesome way to document the days of everyday life for my children to someday look back and reflect. Thank you all for being interested in Super Mom!

To Marla,

Marla,

I was stunned to see a few new postings on your blog. Welcome back!! There for a while I stopped checking. I did know where to find you though. As your friend, I must agree with you that you do have an addition. You need to join a support group. LOL! :)

Your friend,

~Helen

Happy Birthday DAD!

Yesterday, was my Dad's b-day. I called him on his cell to wish him a happy one, however, he didn't answer............like always! It takes me back to when I lived at home and the land line would ring, my Dad could be sitting right next to the phone and he wouldn't answer. He said it wasn't for him anyway. This time he has a cell, but he must have assumed it was one of his employees. Anyway, I love you Dad and I hope you had a great b-day!

Visiting Mommy's Friends..........

Last Saturday, Mommy drove to the other side of the world to visit two of her good friends. Mrs. Gina lives in Wylie. She's mommy's bff and Mrs. Marla lives in Sachse. She and mommy have known eachother for over eight years. Mommy and Mrs. Gina talked for hours, never a moment of silence. They where as if they hadn't seen or spoken to each other in ages. Mommy said time flew and there was still a lot they didn't about. WOMEN! While they talked I played with toy's. Mrs. Gina had Buz Light Year and Woody! I was a little afraid of her daughter, Dayden. I'm like my daddy and don't talk to girls that are not related to me.

Mrs. Gina treated us to lunch at Chilli's. Thank you so much! Elena was thrilled to go there. It made up for not going and staying with Mama Ocanas.
After we visited with Mrs. Gina, we went to see Mrs. Marla. She had a baby a day before my birthday. Her baby shower gift has been sitting on our hutch collecting dust since October. Daddy said we should get it to her before Emma turns three. My daddy, he's so funny!
Pebbles, the dog, freighted me! I screamed and cried. Mommy was calm though and didn't freak out.
While I was there, I played with Josh. We made a fort and played with toy guns. Mommy was amazed I knew what to do with it. Silly Mommy! It's natural! I'm a B.O.Y.!

I hadn't napped all day. On the way home, I zonked out! I was so worn out!

Just me & the boy

Friday, Scott and Allan where by Six Flags and Allan cried because he couldn't go. Allan told me all about it when I arrived from work, which was about 1. So when we woke up from our nap, I took him. He was so excited!

As soon as we went through the gate, he said he wanted to ride the horsey. AND.....he didn't want me to hold him or touch the horse because "He's a big boy!"

We rode this three time! He loved it!

He had to have his pic taken with the snowman.

Happy New Year!

My new year's resolution this year is to spend at least once a month visiting a friend. Today, I visited my friend from high school, Laura. I haven't seen her in about 8 years. Her two year old daughter, Skylar, was diagnosed with a fast growing form of leukemia called Burkitts on July 31. Sadly, she passed away September 28. Two weeks prior to Skylar's diagnosis, her 1 year old, Addison, had her second surgery to repair her cleft palate. During that time, Laura's mother, was in an auto accident and injured her foot and broke her sternum. I hope 2009 is a better year for her and her family.

We enjoyed the day at her home visiting, eating and playing the Wii. It was the first time, I have ever played and it was SO fun. I think I might invest in purchasing one for me. It would be a great for of entertainment and involvement for my entire family.
