Scott syndrome

Apparently, Scott is rubbing off on me. First I washed and damaged my cell phone and today after I took the kids to visit my paternal grandmother who is now on hospice, we stopped at Bealls and Hibbet Sport in Ennis to get a head start on school clothes shopping. Well, we headed out to the car to make our journey back home when I discovered I lost my keys. Elena, Ricky, Brandon and I searched for them for thirty minutes before I had to make the dreaded call to my hubby.

Scott was taking a nap with Allan and didn't answer the phone so I had to leave a message. Good thing, it wasn't an emergency.

Anyway, luckily, my parents were still in the area. They picked us up and took us to Braums. An hour later, Scott returned my call. My parents took me to meet him in DeSoto for the extra set of keys and they drove me back to Ennis. (Thanks Mom & Dad!)

It wasn't quite the afternoon I planned for and I'm certain they didn't either, but I've adopted a new outlook (to look for the positive in the negative). I'm "trying" to anyway, thanks to an email I received from Gina last week.

The positive I discovered was spending time with my parents. I really enjoyed the road trip. It's been awhile since I've spend some quality time with them alone.

When we finally made it home, the sales associate from Bealls had called stating someone found my keys in the parking lot. Do you think I would have received a phone call, if I had lost them in the city?

Well, I have always heard that the longer you stay together you start to act and look like each other!
