When I took Elena and Ricky to their scheduled dental appointments, their was a Mexican family sitting in the waiting area. Mom was reading her Bible while she waited with her four children. The teenage daughter and son were playing or texting on their cell phones. Her 10 year old was aggravating the 5 year old. Mom kept telling them to calm down but she had no scene control. I kept quite thinking "How do I tell her kids to shut the hell up?" I didn't say anything though. I did give Mom "the look," so she knew.
Later that night, I was upset with myself for not speaking out.
Yesterday, I returned to the same place for Ricky to have his two cavities filled and for Allan to have his evaluation. Again, there was another Mom with three non-home trained kids. This time, I said, "Quite down! This is a place of business." The kids gave me that deer in the head light look and did as I asked. Mom was stunned that a stranger had said something to her children. She should have been embarrassed. Would you have said anything? Maybe, I should find a new dentist.

I think all dentists are like that. The one in our building has recently put up a sign that said "shhh..quiet...business in session". I would have said something.
