My kids spent the afternoon with all their (maternal) cousins yesterday afternoon. They came over. We had lunch. (Thanks, Mom and Dad!) They played outside. Then..................we all went to Chuck E. Cheese!!!!!!! (Where a kid can roam free without any parental supervision and scream as if they were auditioning for a horror movie. Not mine!) We went to celebrate Aarron's report card. He made straight A's at his new school. A great time was had by all the kids. The adults left with a huge headache. The things we do for our kids!

Who came up with Chuck E. Cheese's, anyway? Whatever happened to rewarding the kids with an ice cream cone? (Doesn't that sound like an old timer?) Just joshin'. They used to have this children's play place (when Dan and Melinda were small) called "Leaps and Bounds" - with ball pits, tubes, slides, etc. and it was all indoors. They had a glassed in "quiet room" for the adults who wanted to watch, but not listen to all the noise. Of course, I never made it in there. I was inside the tubes, having a blast with the kids (I was like 28 years old at the time). If it were still opened, I'm sure I'd find my way in the quiet room with camera in tow.
